ORDINANCE NO. 95-7-_S
AN ORDINANCE FINALIZING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
PROPERTY LYING ADJACENT TO THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, AND DEFINING ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY OF SAID PROPERTY
TO BE INCLUDED WITHIN THE SAID CORPORATE LIMITS
WHEREAS, two tracts of property northwest of and
Cadjacent to the present city limits, along Olivet Church Road,
are urban in character and suitable for development for urban
purposes without unreasonable delay; and
WHEREAS, the property is contiguous to the present
corporate limits of the City, and it is desirable and necessary
to annex the hereinafter described property; and
WHEREAS, said tracts of land are not within the
boundary of another incorporated city; and
WHEREAS, KRS 81A.412 provides that a city may annex
any area which meets the necessary requirements if each of the
owners of record of such land consent in writing to the
annexation; and
WHEREAS, the owners have requested such annexation in
writing to the Mayor and Board of Commissioners of the City of
Paducah.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. It is the intent of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, to finalize the annexation of the hereinafter
described property, and therefore that the hereinafter
described property be annexed to, and be made a part of the
City of Paducah, Kentucky; said real property being more
particularly and accurately described as follows:
TRACT I
Beginning at an iron pin set 25 feet east at right
angles from the center line of Olivet Church Road,
said center line point is located 1043.93 feet south
from the center line intersection of Olivet Church
Road and ICGRR tracts; thence south 79 degrees 56
minutes 56 seconds east for a distance of 200.00 feet
to an iron pin; thence north 17 degrees 54 minutes 44
seconds east for a distance of 30.00 feet to an iron
pin; thence south 79 degrees 56 minutes 56 seconds
east for a distance of 185.00 feet to an iron pin;
thence north 17 degrees 54 minutes 44 seconds east
for a distance of 85.00 feet to an iron pin; thence
south 79 degrees 56 minutes 56 seconds east for a
distance of 2058.85 feet to an iron pin; thence south
i 17 degrees 40 minutes 30 seconds west for a distance
of 854.11 feet to an iron pin; thence south 18
degrees 30 minutes 39 seconds west for a distance of
227.89 feet to an iron pin; thence north 79 degrees
56 minutes 44 seconds west for a distance of 1515.99
feet to an iron pin; thence north 17 degrees 54
minutes 44 seconds east for a distance of 541.00 feet
to an iron pin; thence north 79 degrees 56 minutes 44
seconds west for a distance of 929.00 feet to an iron
pin set 25.00 feet east at right angles from the
center line of Olivet Church Road; thence north
17 degrees 54 minutes 44 seconds east for a distance

of 426.00 feet with the east side of Olivet Church
Road to an iron pin, the point of beginning. The
above described tract of land contains 2,085,382.36
square feet, 47.8738 acres, more or less.
TRACT TT
Beginning at a point on the east line of the Olivet
Church Road a distance of 1,316 feet in a northerly
direction from the intersection of the easterly line
of the Olivet Church Road and northerly line of
Concord Avenue; thence in a northerly direction with
the east line of the Olivet Church Road 30.12 feet; '
thence at an interior angle of 97 degrees 43 minutes
50 seconds a distance of 400 feet in an easterly
direction; thence at an interior angle of 262
degrees 16 minutes 10 seconds a distance of 120 feet
in a northerly direction; thence at an interior angle
of 97 degrees 43 minutes 50 seconds a distance of
966.42 feet in an easterly direction; thence at an
interior angle of 90 degrees 03 minutes 14 seconds a
distance of 147.45 feet in a southerly direction;
thence at an interior angle of 90 degrees and in a
westerly direction a distance of 1,386.75 feet to the
point of beginning.
SECTION 2. This ordinance of annexation shall be
read on two separate days and upon publication the territory
described above shall become a part of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, for all purposes.
