AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF CENTRAL PAVING
COMPANY IN THE AMOUNT OF $62,340 FOR RESURFACING TENNIS COURTS
IN NOBLE PARK, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT
FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accepts the bid
of Central Paving Company in the amount of $62,340 for
resurfacing tennis courts at Noble Park, said bid being in
substantial compliance with the bid specifications and
advertisement for bids, and as contained in the bid of Central
Paving Company of May 9, 1995.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to
execute a contract with Central Paving Company for tennis court
resurfacing as set out in Section 1 above, according to the
specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents
heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to
Account No. 040-8821-536-4231.
SECTION 4. Due to the onset of spring and summer
tennis court use, the courts should be completed as soon as
possible; therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist
and this ordinance shall become effective immediately with one
reading.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be published by
summary, pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
