AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF WILKINS
CONSTRUCTION COMPANY INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,192,998.56 FOR
NOBLE PARK RENOVATION, PHASE I, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
CISECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accepts the bid �,
of Wilkins Construction Company Inc. in the amount of
$1,192,998.56 for Noble Park Renovation, Phase I, said bid
being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications and
advertisement for bids, and as contained in the bid of Wilkins
Construction Company Inc. of April 24, 1995. Said bid includes
a 4% construction contingency.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute
a contract with Wilkins Construction Company Inc. for Noble
Park Renovations as set out in Section 1 above, according to
the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents
heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to
Account No. 040-88-21-536-4231.
SECTION 4. In order to complete this project during
the 1995 construction season and to allow sufficient time to
refill Noble Park Lake before the onset of inclement weather,
l an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance
shall become effective immediately with one reading.
