AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE PROPOSAL OF DOVER ELEVATOR
COMPANY IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $30,500 FOR REPAIRS TO THE
CITY HALL ELEVATOR, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT FOR SAME
WHEREAS, this proposal is being accepted as a non-
competitive negotiation under Section 26-21 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Paducah; and
WHEREAS, an emergency exists which will cause public
harm as a result of the delay in competitive procedures.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the
proposal of Dover Elevator Company in an amount not to exceed
$30,500 for repairs to the City Hall elevator, and the Mayor is
hereby authorized to execute a contract for same.
SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to
Account No. 001-2206-531-4205.
SECTION 3. The elevator at City Hall is the only
means of access to the second floor by anyone requiring handi-
cap accessibility. In order to bring the City Hall elevator
into compliance with ADA requirements, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist and this ordinance shall become effective
with one reading. A
