AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 40.21(f) OF APPENDIX A,
ZONING, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 40.21(f) of Appendix A, Zoning, of the Code of
01 Ordinances of the City of Paducah is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 40.21(f) - Regulations applicable to R-4 zone.
In the R-4 zone, the aggregate of all signs readily visible from any public
right-of-way abutting any lot shall not exceed two hundred (200) square
feet.
Regulations Applicable to B -2-T and -144 Zones - All signs in the B -2-T
and H-1 zeRe shall be constructed so that each letter thereof runs parallel
to the street upon which such business abuts, shall be affixed to the
exterior wall of the building, and shall not protrude from that wall a
distance of more than eighteen (18) inches. Flashing lights other than
flashing lighted numerals and digits are prohibited.
Regulation's Applicable to H-1 Zone - The following signs are permitted
in the H-1 zone:
A sign constructed so that each letter thereof runs parallel to the street
upon which such business abuts shall be affixed to the exterior wall of
the buildina. and shall not protrude from that wall a distance of more than
—eighteen (18) inches. Lighted signs are prohibited.
A proiecting sign that is attached directly to the wall of a building and
extends in a perpendicular direction outward no more than three (3) feet
from the face of the building is permissible. The lonaest dimension of any
sign shall not exceed three (3) feet. The face of any sign shall not exceed
two (2) square feet with a two (2) face maximum. One sign per building
facade is permitted.
All signs in the H-1 shall be subject to the requirements of 62.13
(Standards for Determining Historical Intearity) and 62.17 (Conditional
Use Certificate of Appropriateness)."
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and shall
become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
