AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF THREE 1995 FORD
CROWN VICTORIA AUTOMOBILES FROM PAUL MILLER FORD INC. IN THE
AMOUNT OF $48,532.50 FOR USE BY THE POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME
WHEREAS, this equipment is available under State
Contract No. BP005907, and competitive bidding is not required.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah is authorized to
complete the purchase of three 1995 Ford Crown Victoria
automobiles in the amount of $48,532.50 from Paul Miller Ford
Inc., for use by the Police Department.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is authorized to execute a
contract with Paul Miller Ford Inc. for completion of the
purchase of three police vehicles, authorized in Section 1
above, according to the specifications and all contract
documents heretofore approved.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to
Account No. 070-2215-541-4005.
SECTION 4. In order to pay for these vehicles upon
delivery this week, an emergency is hereby declared to exist
and this ordinance will become effective immediately with one
reading.
