ORDINANCE NO. 95-7- S3cP.
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE AN APPLICATION FOR AN "AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL" MATCHING
GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $10,000 FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A NURSERY
AND GREENHOUSE, AND ANY OTHER DOCUMENTS INCIDENT THERETO
NECESSARY TO OBTAIN SAME
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah desires to participate
in the "America the Beautiful" Grant Program, which will be an
important long-range urban forestry program for the City.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute
an application for an "America the Beautiful" Matching Grant in
the amount of $10,000 for the development of a nursery and
greenhouse, and any documents incident thereto necessary to
obtain same. The City will provide a cash and in-kind match in
the amount of $14,145 for a total project cost of $24,145.
SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to
Account No. 001-2402-534-4205.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two
separate days and will become effective upon summary
publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
