HomeMy WebLinkAbout95-7-5314ORDINANCE NO. 95-7- Z / AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF WAHL'S EXCAVATING, FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF ITS REQUIREMENT OF SAND TO BE USED DURING THE YEAR 1995-96, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. The City of Paducah accepts the bid of Wahl's Excavating for sale to the City of its requirement of sand to be used in street construction work for the year 1995-96, said bid being in words and figures as follows: Wahl's Excavating proposes and agrees to sell to the City of Paducah the City's requirement of sand Complying with Section 804 of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Department of Highways "Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction" to be picked up at the plant by the City and to be used during the 1995-96 fiscal year, for the following prices: APPROX UNIT BID NO. DESCRIPTION QUANTITY UNIT PRICE AMOUNT 1. Concrete Sand 500 Tons $ 5.00 $2,500.00 2. Mortar Sand 500 Tons $ 5.50 $2,750.00 TOTAL BID: $5,250.00 "If the contract is awarded to us, we agree to post a performance bond in the amount of $1,000.00 We also agree to conform with all other requirements as set forth in the request for bids on this material". Said bid being in substantial compliance with, and as contained in the bid of Federal Materials Company, dated June 13, 1995. SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with Federal Materials Company for the purchase of sand as set out in Section 1 above. SECTION 3. The purchase price for said sand shall be charged to the following accounts: 001-2202-531-39-19 001-2503-533-35-27 001-3308-532-33-05 003-2217-531-39-19 055-3302-532-33-05 055-3303-532-33-05 SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter ,424.
