AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE A MEMORANDUM OF LEASE BETWEEN THE CITY OF PADUCAH AND
COUNTY OF McCRACKEN, KENTUCKY, FOR LEASE OF THE FORMER CITY
JAIL FACILITIES, FOR USE AS A JUVENILE DETENTION CENTER
WHEREAS, the City and County have entered into an
agreement whereby the City will lease to the County that area
of the Paducah City Hall formerly used as a city jail, for use
as a Juvenile Detention Center.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized and
directed to execute a Memorandum of Lease between the City of
Paducah and County of McCracken, Kentucky, for lease of the
former city jail facilities for use a Juvenile Detention
Center.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two
separate days and will become effective upon summary
publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
