AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF OFFICE
VISION COMPUTER SOFTWARE FROM IBM CORPORATION FOR THE AS/400
COMPUTER SYSTEM IN THE AMOUNT OF $17,095.50, AND AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME
WHEREAS, this equipment is available under State
Contract Number 00940, and competitive bidding is not
required.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah is authorized
to purchase computer software from IBM Corporation for the
AS/400 computer system in the amount of $17,095.50, and the
Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract for
purchase of same. This software will provide electronic
mail and scheduling capabilities for the AS/400 system.
SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to
Account No. 040-0112-511-23-07.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two
separate days and will become effective upon summary
publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
