AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF 800 MHz RADIO
EQUIPMENT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $96,063.00 FROM MOTOROLA
COMMUNICATIONS AND ELECTRONICS, INC., FOR USE BY THE POLICE
DEPARTMENT AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR
SAME
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah executed a contract with Motorola
Communications and Electronics, Inc., by Ordinance No. 92-4-4754 for the purchase price of 800
MHz radio equipment; and
WHEREAS, Motorola Communications and Electronics, Inc., agrees to sell to the
City of Paducah 800 MHz radio equipment at the same price and terms authorized by Ordinance
No. 92-4-4754.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The City of Paducah authorizes the purchase of 800 MHz radio
equipment in an amount not to exceed $96,063.00 from Motorola Communications and
Electronics, Inc., for use by the Police Department, said prices, terms and conditions being in
substantial compliance with the original contract authorized by Ordinance No. 92-4-4754, passed
by the Board of Commissioners on April 28, 1992.
JSECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with
Motorola Communications and Electronics, Inc., for the purchase of 800 MHz radio equipment.

SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to Account No. 070-2215-541-
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
