AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT WITH THE COMMONWEALTH OF KENTUCKY TRANSPORTATION
CABINET IN THE AMOUNT OF $50,000 FOR REIMBURSEMENT TO THE CITY FOR
THE UPDATE OF THE PADUCAH/McCRACKEN COUNTY TRANSPORTATION STUDY
WHEREAS, Paducah and the Commonwealth of Kentucky Transportation Cabinet
wish to jointly complete an update of the Paducah/McCracken County Transportation Study; and
WHEREAS, the Commonwealth of Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is willing to
reimburse some of the funds to the City.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with
the Commonwealth of Kentucky Transportation Cabinet in the amount of $50,000 for
reimbursement to the City for the update of the Paducah/McCracken County Transportation
Study.
SECTION 2. In order to comply with a request by the State to expedite this
contract as soon as possible due to the change in the State Administration, and in order to receive
the necessary funds to complete the Study, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this
ordinance shall become effective immediately with one reading.
