AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF A & K CONSTRUCTION,
INC., IN THE AMOUNT OF $130,935 FOR THE COMPOST FACILITY
EXPANSION PROJECT LOCATED AT 1560 N 8TH STREET AND AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The City of Paducah accepts the bid of
A & K Construction, Inc., in the amount of $130,935 for the
compost facility expansion project, said bid being in
substantial compliance with bid specifications, and as
contained in the bid of A & K Construction, Inc., of October
12, 1994.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute
a contract with A & K Construction, Inc., for the compost
facility expansion project located at 1560 N 8th Street,
authorized in Section 1 above, according to the bid
specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents
heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to
Account No. 55-33-15-470.
SECTION 4. In order to complete this project before
the onset of inclement weather, an emergency is hereby declared
to exist and this ordinance shall become effective with one
reading.
