AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF COMPUTER
HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE FROM IBM CORPORATION FOR THE AS/400
COMPUTER SYSTEM IN THE AMOUNT OF $224,159, AND AUTHORIZING
AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME
WHEREAS, this equipment is available under State
Contract Numbers 18710 (hardware) and 20890 (software), and
competitive bidding is not required.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah is authorized
to purchase computer hardware and software from IBM
Corporation for the AS/400 computer system in the amount of
$224,159, and the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a
contract for purchase of same.
SECTION 2. These purchases shall be charged
as follows:
Hardware: Account No. 40-01-03-420
Software: Account No. 40-01-03-422
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two
separate days and will become effective upon summary
publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
