HomeMy WebLinkAbout95-11-5403377 ORDINANCE #95- //- ~ ~3 AN ORDINANCE RATIFYING THE SALE OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1409 ATKIN5 AVENUE, PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, TO MARIE A. HARRIS FOR THE SUM OF $37,975.00. WHEREAS, the City of Paducah by Ordinance No. 94-1-5063, adopted i January 11, 1995, did authorize and enter into a grant agreement for assistance through Hope 3, Office of Community Planning and Development, Department of Housing and Urban Development, for grant funds for the development of a program to repair delinquent tax properties for resale to homeowners in the City of Paducah; and WHEREAS, the City of Paducah did by Municipal Order No. 680, adopted May 10, 1994, designate as the unit representing the City of Paducah in implementing and carrying out the Hope 3 program the Paducah Urban Renewal and Community Development Agency; and WHEREAS, the subject real property located at 1409 Atkins Avenue, Paducah, Kentucky, was acquired by the City of Paducah by deed dated August 15, 1994, of record in Deed Book 816, page 264, in the McCracken County Court Clerk's office for ~~"~, purposes of carrying out the purposes of the Hope 3 program; and ~..~' WHEREAS, the City of Paducah does not have any use at this time for the above-described real property other than its resale in order to carry out the purposes of the Hope 3 program; and WHEREAS, the Paducah Urban Renewal and Community Development Agency has recommended and approved that the subject real property be sold for the sum of $37,975.00 to Marie A. Harris, said purchase price being the fair market value of the subject property; WHEREAS, in light of the recommendation of the Paducah Urban Renewal and Community Development Agency, the sale of the aforesaid real property to Marie A. Harris was consummated on November 8, 1995. Be it ordained by the City of Paducah, Kentucky: ~~p, . ~` SECTION 1. That the sale of the real property located at 1409 Atkins Avenue, Paducah, Kentucky, to Marie A. Said lot fronts fifty (SO) feet on Atkins Avenue, and running back for depth westerly from said Atkins Avenue one hundred sixty-five (16S) feet to a fifteen foot alley. Bound on the north by the lot of Scott Woolfork and on the south by the property of Oscar Reynolds. For a particular described of said reference is made to plat of Rowland Place recorded in Deed Book No. 40, page 366, in McCracken County Court Clerk's office. ''; Being the same property conveyed to the Ciry of Paducah, Kentucky, and Leonidas Sarantakas by deed dated August 1S, 1994, and recorded in Deed Book 816, page 264, in the office of the Clerk of the County Court of McCracken County, Kentucky. SECTION 2. The deed of conveyance for the above-described real property prepared by corporate counsel for the City of Paducah is in proper form and is hereby ratified and the City of Paducah does hereby ratify the execution of same by the Mayor and any and other documents executed by the Mayor necessary for the consummation of said sale. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will ;, become effective upon publication of the title and certified summary thereof. RALDINE B.
