AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
DEED FOR THE PURCHASE OF REAL PROPERTY BY THE CITY OF
PADUCAH FROM BENJAMIN AND BARBARA J. BLAKELY FOR THE SUM OF
$500, LOCATED AT 1508 NORTH 7TH STREET IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
McCRACKEN COUNTY, KENTUCKY, WHICH PROPERTY WILL BE USED FOR THE
EXPANSION OF THE WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT FACILITIES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to
execute a deed for the purchase of real property by the City
of Paducah from Benjamin and Barbara J. Blakely for the sum of
$500, for property located at 1508 North Seventh Street in the
City of Paducah, McCracken County, Kentucky. The acquisition
of this property is necessary for the expansion of the
Wastewater Treatment Plant facilities.
SECTION 2. This property is more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at a stake on the east side of Seventh
Street as laid out by W. Armour Gardner at the
corner of a lot sold by W. Armour Gardner to Luby
Jackson dated August 6, 1990, of record in Deed
Book 126, page 124, McCracken County Clerk's
Office; said beginning corner of the lot herein
conveyed is 165 feet in a northwesterly direction
from the south side of Terrell Street, running
j~, thence with the east line of Seventh Street in a
'~ northwesterly direction 25 feet to Frank Bunting's
corner; thence with Bunting line and towards the
Ohio River 100 feet to an alley 30 feet wide;
thence with said alley and toward Terrell Street
25 feet to another corner of Luby Jackson; thence
at right angles and with Jackson line 100 feet to
the beginning stake.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to
Account No. 055-3310-532-4245.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two
separate days and will become effective upon summary publica-
tion pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
