ORDINANCE #95-11-5398
AN ORDINANCE RATIFYING THE SALE OF REAL
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1305 South 8th Street,
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, TO SANDRA HARRIS FOR
THE SUM OF $38,565.00.
~+ WHEREAS, the City of Paducah by Ordinance No. 94-1-5063, adopted
t January 11, 1995, did authorize and enter into a grant agreement for assistance through
Hope 3, Office of Community Planning and Development, Department of Housing and
Urban Development, for grant funds for the development of a program to repair
delinquent tax properties for resale to homeowners in the City of Paducah; and
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah did by Municipal Order No. 680,
adopted May 10, 1994, designate as the unit representing the City of Paducah in
implementing and carrying out•the Hope 3 program the Paducah Urban Renewal and
Community Development Agency; and
WHEREAS, the subject real property located at 1305 South 8th Street,
Paducah, Kentucky, was acquired by the City of Paducah by tax sale, Master
Commissioner's deed dated February 3,1995, of record in Deed Book 826, page 309, in
~rfi~`m°~r the McCracken County Court Clerk's office for purposes of carrying out the purposes of

WHEREAS, the City of Paducah does not have any use at this time for
the above-described real property other than its resale in order to carry out the purposes
of the Hope 3 program; and
WHEREAS, the Paducah Urban Renewal and Community Development
Agency has recommended and approved that the subject real property be sold for the
sum of $38,565.00 to Sandra Harris, said purchase price being the fair market value of
the subject property;
WHEREAS, in light of the recommendation of the Paducah Urban
Renewal and Community Development Agency, the sale of the aforesaid real property to
Sandra Harris was consummated on November 20, 1995.

~~',' Be it ordained by the City of Paducah, Kentucky:
SECTION 1. That the sale of the real property located at 1305 South 8th
Street, Paducah, Kentucky, to Sandra Harris for the principal sum of $38,585.00 which
sale was consummated on November 20, 1995, is hereby approved and ratified, said real
property being more particularly described as follows:

Two houses on one lot Fifty (50) feet by one hundred forty-
five (145) feet at 1305 S. Eighth Street, Paducah, Kentucky,
Mays Location 504416 as platted in the Tax Assessor's
Office in the City of Paducah, Kentucky.
SECTION 2. The deed of conveyance for the above-described real
property prepared by corporate counsel for the City of Paducah is in proper form and is
hereby ratified and the City of Paducah does hereby ratify the execution of same by the ,~°~,,

Mayor and any and other documents executed by the Mayor necessary for the
consummation of said sale.
SECTION 3. In order to effectuate the sale of this property and to vest
good title immediately with purchaser, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this
ordinance shall become effective with one reading.
