AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO
ENTER INTO A MAINTENANCE AND TRAFFIC CONTRACT BETWEEN THE
COMMONWEALTH OF KENTUCKY, TRANSPORTATION CABINET, AND THE CITY
OF PADUCAH FOR MAINTENANCE AND TRAFFIC OF THE STATE ROAD SYSTEM
WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH
WHEREAS, certain streets, viaducts and bridges or
portions thereof are part of the State Primary Road System and
are located within the corporate limits of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky. The Transportation Cabinet is charged by law with
maintaining the State Primary Road System and desires to enter
into a contract with the City of Paducah for maintenance and
traffic of the aforesaid streets.
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized and
directed to enter into a Maintenance and Traffic Contract
between the Commonwealth of Kentucky, Transportation Cabinet,
and the City of Paducah for maintaining the State Primary Road
System within the corporate limits of the City of Paducah.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two
separate days and will become effective upon summary
publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
