ORDINANCE NO. 96-$
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE A BOUNDARY LINE AGREEMENT BETWEEN MAPLELAWN PARK
CEMETERY TRUST AND THE CITY OF PADUCAH
WHEREAS, Maplelawn Park Cemetery Trust presently holds
title to the land which is a public cemetery known as Maplelawn

Park Cemetery; and
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah holds title to land
adjacent to and south of Maplelawn Park Cemetery on which the
City of Paducah maintains a public cemetery known as the Oak
Grove Cemetery; and
WHEREAS, a metes and bounds description in the deed
dated June 30, 1926, recorded in Deed Book 150, page 519, in
the McCracken County Clerk's Office, to the land which is
Maplelawn Park Cemetery, creates an ambiguity as to the exact
location of the boundary line between Maplelawn Park Cemetery
and Oak Grove Cemetery; and
WHEREAS, Maplelawn Park Cemetery Trust and the City
of Paducah desire to establish the boundary line between
Maplelawn Park Cemetery and Oak Grove Cemetery.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized and
directed to execute a Boundary Line Agreement between Maplelawn

Park Cemetery Trust d the Cit of Paducah to establish the
boundary line between Maplelawn Park Cemetery and Oak Grove
Cemetery, which is owned by the City of Paducah.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two
separate days and will become effective upon summary
publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
