ORDINANCE NO. 96-8-5538
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF WAHL'S EXCAVATING &
UNDERGROUND INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $58,660 FOR THE WOODLANDS
SANITARY SEWER EXTENSION PROJECT, AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accepts the bid
of Wahl's Excavating & Underground Inc. in the amount of
$58,660 for the Woodlands Sanitary Sewer Extension Project,
said bid being in substantial compliance with the bid
specifications and advertisement for bids, and as contained in
the bid of Wahl's Excavating & Underground Inc. of August 7,
1996.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized and
directed to execute a contract with Wahl's Excavating &
Underground Inc. for services as set out in Section 1 above,
according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract
documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to
Account No. 055-3310-532-4245 (WW0022).
SECTION 4. In order to complete this project before
the onset of inclement weather, an emergency is hereby declared
to exist and this ordinance shall become effective immediately
with one reading.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be published
pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
