ORDINANCE NO. 96-5-gy9 j
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 10-52 & 10-59 CIVIL, SERVICE,
OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 10-52, Civil Service of the Code of Ordinances of the
City of Paducah, Kentucky, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 10-52. Public Works Department.
(a) There is hereby authorized and created the following positions in the Public
Works Department, and the salaries of each position that shall be paid upon satisfactory
completion of consecutive years of service, in this position, and upon recommendation of the City
Manager:

(b) The chief of the maintenance division may designate one maintenance
specialist in his department to act as lead man or part-time working foreman to serve in such
capacity at the direction of the chief of the maintenance division. The maintenance specialist so
designated shall be paid an additional $1.00 per hour during such times as the maintenance
specialist designated actually serves in such capacity.
SECTION 2. That Section 10-59, Civil Service of the Code of Ordinances of the
City of Paducah, Kentucky, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 10-59. Department of Parks.
(a) There is hereby authorized and created the following positions in the
Department of Parks, the salaries of each position that shall be paid upon satisfactory completion
of consecutive years of service, in this positions and upon recommendation of the City Manager:

SECTION 3.
This ordinance shall be retroactive to March 23, 1996.
SECTION 4.
This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and shall become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
