AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE PROPOSAL OF WILLIAMS,
WILLIAMS & LENTZ, LLP, CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANTS, FOR A
COMPREHENSIVE ANNUAL FINANCIAL REPORT FOR THE CITY OF
PADUCAH FROM JULY 1, 1995, TO JUNE 30, 1996, FOR THE SUM OF
$38,000, AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE
A CONTRACT FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accepts the
proposal of Williams, Williams & Lentz, LLP, Certified
Public Accounts, for a comprehensive annual financial report
of all city accounts, including the general fund, the police
and firemen's pension fund, the appointive employees' pen-
sion fund, sewer system funds, parking facility funds, and
other incidental accounting services, for the sum of
$38,000, covering the period from July 1, 1995, to June 30,
1996; said proposal being according to the terms and condi-
tions set forth in the letter of Williams, Williams & Lentz,
LLP, Certified Public Accountants, to the City Finance
Director dated June 28, 1996.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to
execute said contract as set out in Section 1 above.
SECTION 3. Payment for the audit expenses set
forth in Section 1 above shall be charged to various
accounts.
SECTION 4. In order to complete this audit within
an established time frame, an emergency is hereby declared
to exist and this Ordinance shall become effective imme-
diately with one reading.
