AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE ELECTRIC PLANT BOARD OF THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, d/b/a PADUCAH POWER SYSTEM, AND THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, FOR INSTALLATION OF FIBER OPTIC CABLE BETWEEN THE
ALLIE MORGAN COMMUNICATION CENTER AND THE POLICE HEADQUARTER
BUILDING AT 1400 BROADWAY, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $17,500
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized and
directed to execute an Agreement between the Electric Plant
Board of the City of Paducah, d/b/a Paducah Power System, and
the City of Paducah, for installation of fiber optic cable
between the Allie Morgan Communication Center and the Police
Headquarter Building at 1400 Broadway.
SECTION 2. The City agrees to reimburse Paducah
Power System one-half (1/2) the costs and expenses, in an
amount not to exceed $17,500, for purchase and installation of
the aforementioned fiber optic cable.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to
Account No. 040-1616-521-2307.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two
separate days and will become effective upon summary
publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
