ORDINANCE NO. 96-9-5,
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE A GRANT AGREEMENT AND ALL DOCUMENTS RELATING THERETO
WITH THE KENTUCKY DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES, DIVISION OF
FORESTRY, TO OBTAIN A MATCHING GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,000,
FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A HORTICULTURE EDUCATION PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah desires to obtain a
matching grant from the Kentucky Department of Natural
Resources, Division of Forestry, which will enable the Civic
Beautification Board to expand the use, enjoyment and
appreciation of the trees in Noble Park through the development
of a horticulture development program.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized and
directed to execute a Grant Agreement and all documents
relating thereto with the Kentucky Division of Forestry to
obtain a matching grant in the amount of $2,000, for the
development of a horticulture development program. The City
will provide matching funds in the amount of $1,350 for this
project.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two
separate days and will become effective upon summary
publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
