AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE A GRANT AGREEMENT AND ALL DOCUMENTS RELATING THERETO
WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT TO OBTAIN A COMMUNITY
RIVERS AND STREAMS MATCHING GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,000, FOR
THE DEVELOPMENT OF A PADUCAH/McCRACKEN COUNTY MULTI -JURISDIC-
TIONAL MANAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT PLAN
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized and
directed to execute a Grant Agreement and all documents
relating thereto with the Department of Local Government to
obtain a Community Rivers and Streams Matching Grant in the
amount of $5,000, for the development of a Paducah/McCracken
County Multi -Jurisdictional Management and Development Plan.
The City will provide in-kind matching funds in the amount of
$6,432 for this project.
SECTION 2. In order to comply with a State deadline
for execution of the aforesaid documents, an emergency is
hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall become
effective immediately with one reading.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be published by
summary pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
