AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT RENEWAL BETWEEN THE CITY OF PADUCAH AND DUKE & LONG
DISTRIBUTING COMPANY INC. (FORMERLY E.M. BAILEY DISTRIBUTING
COMPANY) FOR PROVIDING THE CITY WITH GASOLINE AND DIESEL FUEL
TO BE DISPENSED FROM COMPUTERIZED DISPENSING EQUIPMENT, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 94-3-5081, adopted by the City
of Paducah on March 1, 1994, authorized the execution of a
contract between the City of Paducah and E.M. Bailey Distribut-
ing Company; and
WHEREAS, the bid specifications contained a provision
providing for the renewal of said contract for two additional
one-year periods; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to exercise said option to
renew for a period of one year, ending June 30, 1997.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute
a contract renewal for a period of one (1) year with Duke &
Long Distributing Company Inc. (formerly E.M. Bailey
Distributing Company) for its supply of 89 octane gasoline and
#2 diesel fuel at OPIS (Oil Price Information Service) price
plus $.09 per gallon, to be dispensed from computerized
y dispensing equipment. Said contract is in substantial
compliance with the bid specifications, advertisement for bids
and bids dated January 12, 1994.
SECTION 2. Said Contract Renewal shall be
retroactive to July 1, 1996, and shall expire on June 30, 1997.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to
various account numbers.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two
separate days and will become effective upon publication of
title and a certified summary thereof.
