ORDINANCE NO. 96-12-5610
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF JIM SMITH CONTRACTING
COMPANY, INC., FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF ITS REQUIREMENT OF BITUMINOUS
COLD MIX, FOR THE FISCAL YEARS 1996-97 & 1997-98, AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The City of Paducah accepts the bid of Jim Smith Contracting
Company, Inc., for sale to the City of Paducah of its requirement of bituminous cold mix for the
fiscal years 1996-97 & 1997-98, to be used in street construction, in compliance with, and as
contained in the bid of Jim Smith Contracting Company, Inc., dated October 29, 1996, with a
one-year option to renew, for the following prices:

SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with Jim
Smith Contracting Company Inc., for sale to the City of the material authorized in Section 1
above, according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore
approved and incorporated in the bid of October 29, 1996.
SECTION 3. Jim Smith Contracting Company Inc., will furnish to the City,
within ten (10) days after execution of said contract, a performance bond in the amount of
$1,000.00.
SECTION 4. The purchase price shall be charged to various accounts.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
