AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF MARTIN MARIETTA
AGGREGATES (THREE RIVERS), FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF ITS REQUIREMENT OF
LIMESTONE TO BE USED DURING THE FISCAL YEARS 1996-97 & 1997-98, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME
f p BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accepts the bid of Martin Marietta

Aggregates (Three Rivers), for sale to the City of its requirement of limestone to be used in street
construction work for the fiscal years 1996-97 & 1997-98, in compliance with, and as contained
in the bid of Martin Marietta Aggregates (Three Rivers), dated October 29, 1996, with an option
to renew, for the following prices:

SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with Martin
Marietta Aggregates (Three Rivers) for sale to the City of the material authorized in Section 1
above, according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore
approved and incorporated in the bid of October 29, 1996.
SECTION 3. Martin Marietta Aggregates (Three Rivers) will furnish to the City,
within ten (10) days after execution of said contract, a performance bond in the amount of
$1,000.00.
SECTION 4. The purchase price shall be charged to various accounts.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
