ORDINANCE NO. 96-12-5608
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF NORTH AMERICAN SALT
COMPANY FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF ITS REQUIREMENT OF ROCK SALT
FOR FISCAL YEARS 1996/97 AND 1997/98, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City accepts the bid of North
American Salt Company to sell rock salt to the City for use on
city thoroughfares for fiscal years 1996/97 and 1997/98, with a
one-year option to renew, said bid being in substantial com-
pliance with the bid specifications, and as contained in the
bid of North American Salt Company of October 29, 1996, for the
following prices:

Rock Salt Tons $36.80 Delivered
34.80 Pick-up
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized and
directed to execute a contract with North American Salt Company
for sale to the City of rock salt authorized in Section 1
above.
SECTION 3.
This purchase shall be charged to various
accounts as necessary.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two
separate days and will become effective upon summary
publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
