HomeMy WebLinkAbout96-11-5597in ORDINANCE NO. 96- AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BIDS OF KENNETH HOWLE FOR DEMOLITION OF CONDEMNED STRUCTURES UNDER THE MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR., AREA HOUSING INITIATIVE PROJECT IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE CONTRACTS FOR SAME WHEREAS, pursuant to KRS 61.252, the City of Paducah has received disclosures and adopted findings of fact with respect to the entry of an agreement with Kenneth Howie, a city employee, for the demolition of certain property located within the City of Paducah; and WHEREAS, the City desires to receive Howle's bid and enter into such agreement. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accepts the bids of Kenneth Howie in the aggregate amount of $15,600 for demolition of condemned structures under the Martin Luther King, Jr. , Area Housing Initiative project in the City of Paducah, said bids being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications, and as contained in the bids of Kenneth Howie of October 7, 1996, which structures are located as follows: 627 N 9th Street 420 N 11th Street 611 N 11th Street 319 N 12th Street 418 N 13th Street 1243 Harrision Street 1245 Harrison Street 1249 Harrison Street 1111 Madison Street SECTION 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute contracts with Kenneth Howie for services as set out in Section 1 above, according to the specifications and all contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid. SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to account no. 006-1214-513-2313. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
