HomeMy WebLinkAbout97-8-5709ORDINANCE NO. 97-8-5709 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,903.09 WITH JIM SMITH CONTRACTING, INC., FOR FISCAL YEAR 1996/97 STREET RESURFACING AND PAVEMENT MARKING PROGRAM WHEREAS, the City approved Ordinance No. 96-8-5548 to enter into a contract with Jim Smith Contracting, Inc., for fiscal year 1996/97 Street Resurfacing and Pavement Marking Program; and WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 is required for an increase in the amount of $2,903.09 for materials to finalize the program for the above referenced contract, increasing the total contract price to $698,473.09. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute Change Order No. 1 for an increase in the amount of $2,903.09 with Jim Smith Contracting, Inc., for materials required to complete the 1996/97 Street Resurfacing and Pavement Marking Program, increasing the total cost to $698,473.09. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and shall become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
