HomeMy WebLinkAbout97-8-5703168 ORDINANCE NO. 97-8-6 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF JIM SMITH CONTRACTING COMPANY INC., IN THE AMOUNT OF $511,150 FOR THE 1997-98 FISCAL YEAR STREET RESURFACING AND PAVEMENT MARKING PROGRAM, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accepts the bid of Jim Smith Contracting Company Inc., in the amount of $511,150 for the 1997-98 fiscal year street resurfacing and pavement marking program, said bid being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications and advertisement for bids, and as contained in the bid of Jim Smith Contracting Company, Inc. of July 31, 1997. SECTION 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with Jim Smith Contracting Company Inc. for street resurfacing as set out in Section 1 above, according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid. SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to Account No. 003-2217-531- 4227. SECTION 4.
