FOR RENTAL OF VARIOUS EQUIPMENT FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE 1997 CALENDAR YEAR AND FOR THE 1998 CALENDAR YEAR C' p BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract with Central Paving Co. of Paducah Inc., for rental of the following equipment, at the following per -hour prices for the remainder of the 1997 calendar year and for the 1998 calendar year: Tractor Scraper $65.00 Dump Truck (tandem) $40.00 Dump Truck (tri -axle) $42.00 Excavator $74.00 Backhoe $44.00 Track Loader $45.00 Motor Grader $60.00 Pneumatic Roller $45.00 Dozer $65.00 Dozer (large) $80.00 Dump Trailer $42.00 Crane $120.00 Sidewalk Slip Form $215.00 Curb & Gutter Slip Form $215.00 Hydro Seeder $550.00 Said bid being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications and advertisement for bids, as contained in the bid of Central Paving Co. of Paducah Inc. of July 31, 1997. The above contract contains a provision for a one year option to renew. SECTION 2. The purchase price for said rental equipment shall be charged to various accounts. SECTION 3. Due to the necessary usage of this equipment required in order to achieve the optimum amount of work during this remaining construction season, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall become effective with one reading.
