AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PADUCAH AND DUKE & LONG DISTRIBUTING
COMPANY INC. FOR PROVIDING THE CITY WITH GASOLINE AND DIESEL FUEL TO
BE DISPENSED FROM COMPUTERIZED DISPENSING EQUIPMENT, AND

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract for the fiscal
year 1997-98 with Duke & Long Distributing Company Inc., for its supply of 89 octane gasoline
and # 2 diesel fuel at OPIS (Oil Price Information Service) price plus $.09 per gallon, to be
dispensed from computerized dispensing equipment. Said contract is in substantial compliance
with the bid specifications, advertisement for bids and bids dated June 27, 1997, and contains an
option to renew for two additional one-year periods.
SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to various account numbers.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
