ORDINANCE NO. 97-7- S
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE FINANCE
DIRECTOR TO PROVIDE THE SUM OF $45,000 TO THE INDUSTRIAL
DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY, THROUGH THE GREATER PADUCAH ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (GPEDC), FOR THE CITY'S 50% SHARE OF
THE ENGINEERING DESIGN FEES FOR THE OLIVET CHURCH ROAD
INDUSTRIAL SITE
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 97-2-5642, the City
approved an Interlocal Cooperation Agreement with McCracken
County for development of the Paducah/McCracken County
Industrial Park, which Agreement was executed on March 6, 1997;
and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the terms of said Interlocal
Agreement, the City agreed to pay one-half the costs for the
development of this project.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That the Finance Director is hereby
authorized and directed to provide the sum of $45,000 to the
Industrial Development Authority, through the Greater Paducah
Economic Development Corporation (GPEDC), for the City's 50%
share of the engineering design fees for the Olivet Church Road
Industrial Site.
SECTION 2.
This expenditure shall be charged to
Account No. 001-1204-513-2307.
SECTION 3 This ordinance shall be read on two
separate days and will become effective upon summary
publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
