HomeMy WebLinkAbout97-1-562244 ORDINANCE NO. 97-01- AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 92.01 AND 92.02 OF CHAPTER 92, ANIMALS, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Sec. 92.01, "Keeping of Animals C) Generally; Keeping of Animals Which Constitute a Nuisance", of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah is hereby amended and reordained to read as follows: "(C) It shall be unlawful to maintain or house, within the corporate limits of the city, any horse, pony, mule, donkey, cattle, sheep, goat, or other livestock on any lots or parcels less than two (2) acres in size and within 300 feet of a dwelling or business. There are hereby exempted from this section all those horses, mules and ponies stabled at any horse racetrack within the city, including Carson Park Fairgrounds." SECTION 2. That Sec. 92.02, "Livestock Running at Large Prohibited", of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah is hereby amended and reordained to read as follows: "It shall be unlawful for the owner or person in possession of any horse, pony, mule, donkey, cattle, sheep, goat, 000 or other livestock to permit the same to run at large on any street or other public property of the city or upon any unenclosed lot or ground in the city." SECTION 3.
