HomeMy WebLinkAbout97-4-5659ORDINANCE NO.97-4-�" AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BIDS OF KENNETH HOWLE FOR DEMOLITION OF CONDEMNED STRUCTURES UNDER THE MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR, AREA HOUSING INITIATIVE PROJECT IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE CONTRACTS FOR SAME WHEREAS, pursuant to KRS 61.252, the City of Paducah has received disclosures and / f fact with respect to the en of an agreement with Kenneth Howle, a city employee, for the adopted findings o ac p �3' demolition of certain property located within the City of Paducah; and WHEREAS, the City desires to receive Howle's bid and enter into such agreement. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accepts the bids of Kenneth Howle in the aggregate amount of $24,500 for demolition of condemned structures under the Martin Luther King, Jr. , Area Housing Initiative project in the City of Paducah, said bids being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications, and as contained in the bids of Kenneth Howle of March 17, 1997, which structures are located as follows: 514 N 10th Street 1142 Martin Luther King, Jr., Drive 617/619 N 10th Street 1232 Martin Luther King, Jr., Drive 626 N 12th Street 1234 Martin Luther King, Jr., Drive 1121 Harrison Street 1106 Monroe Street 913 Martin Luther King, Jr., Drive 1215 Monroe Street 1134 Martin Luther King Jr., Drive 1232 Park Avenue SECTION 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute contracts with Kenneth Howle for services as set out in Section 1 above, according to the specifications and all contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid. SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to account no. CD0012. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
