HomeMy WebLinkAbout97-10-5745253 ORDINANCE NO. 97-10- - 4-'�— AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A DEED FOR TRANSFER OF REAL PROPERTY TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH FROM THE ELECTRIC PLANT BOARD OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, D/B/A PADUCAH POWER SYSTEM, FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1401 BROADWAY IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, McCRACKEN COUNTY, KENTUCKY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a Quitclaim Deed for transfer of real property to the City of Paducah from the Electric Plant Board of the City of Paducah, d/b/a Paducah Power System for property located at 1401 Broadway in the City of Paducah, McCracken County, Kentucky. SECTION 2. This property is more particularly described as follows: Being a tract of land located between Broadway and Kentucky Avenue, northeast of South 15th Street in the City of Paducah, McCracken County, Kentucky, more particularly described as follows: Beginning where the northeasterly line of Tract No. 1 of th4 property described in Deed Book 427, page 413, of the McCracken County Court Clerk's Office intersects the southeasterly right-of-way line of Broadway, said point of intersection being w located 317.0 feet, more or less, and in a 1i northeasterly direction from the point of intersection of the northeasterly right-of-way line of South 15th Street with the southeasterly right-of-way line of Broadway, said point of beginning also being the northeasterly corner of Lot Number 4 of the William Morrow division of land designated on Plat "B" by the plat of record in Deed Book "V", page 372, .of the aforesaid clerk's office, and also being the northwesterly corner of a parcel of land presently owned by Plumbers and Steamfitters Local No. 184 as indicated by deed recorded in Deed Book 275, page 519, of said clerk's office; thence from said point of beginning in a southeasterly direction along and with the northeasterly line of the aforesaid Lot Number 4, perpendicular to the southeasterly line of Broadway and with the southwesterly line of the aforesaid property of record in Deed Book 275, page 519, a distance of 173.25 feet to the southwesterly corner of said parcel of lane; thence in a northeasterly direction parallel with the southeasterly right-of-way line of Broadway and running with the southeasterly line of the aforesaid property of record 51.0 feet to the northwester) 1, Y corner of a parcel of land presently owned by the Paducah Board of Realtors, Inc., as indicated by deed recorded in Deed Book 718, page 158, of said clerk's office; thence in a southeasterly direction along and with the southwesterly line of the aforesaid property of record in Deed Book 718, page 158, and running perpendicular to the aforesaid southeasterly right-of-way line of Broadway, 182.75 feet to the northwesterly right-of-way line of Kentucky Avenue; thence in a 254 southwesterly direction along and with said northwesterly right-of-way line of Kentucky Avenue 247.20 feet to a point located 7.8 feet northeast of the southwesterly corner of Tract No. 3 of the property described in the aforesaid Deed Book 427, page 413; thence in a northwesterly direction parallel with the southwesterly line of said Tract No. 3, a distance of 173.0 feet to the southeasterly line of Tract No. 4 of the property described in the aforesaid Deed Book 427, page 413; thence in a southwesterly direction and with �) said southeasterly line 4.76 feet to the southwesterly corner of the aforesaid Tract No. 4; thence in a northwesterly direction along and with the southwesterly line of said Tract No. 4, a distance of 183.0 feet to the southeasterly right-of-way line of Broadway; thence in a northeasterly direction along and with said southeasterly right-of-way line 201.0 feet to the point of beginning. The aforesaid property contains 79.927 square feet or 1.835 acres, more or less, and is subject to all restrictions, covenants and easements of public record. The aforesaid property is subject to an easement for a natural gas regulating building, an easement for ingress and egress to and from said building and a joint use utility easement previously granted by the Electric Plant Board of the City of Paducah, d/b/a Paducah Power System, to Western Kentucky Gas Company, by document dated April 13, 1994, and recorded in Deed Book 810, page 60, of the McCracken County Court Clerk's Office. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become effective upon summary publica- tion pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
