AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE AN AMENDED CONTRACT WITH STATEWIDE WELDING FOR PURCHASE
OF FRONT LOADING REFUSE CONTAINERS

WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 96-2-5450, the City approved an agreement for the
purchase of front loading refuse containers; and

WHEREAS, it is now necessary to amend this contract due to the demand for
additional purchasing of said containers.
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute an
Amended Contract with Statewide Welding in the amount of $120,000 for the purchase of front
loading refuse containers. The original contract amount for two years was $65,000 and is being
increased by $55,000.

SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to Account No. 050-2210-531-
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
