AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE A GRANT AGREEMENT AND ALL DOCUMENTS RELATING THERETO TO
OBTAIN A MATCHING GRANT FOR THE FY 1997 LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT
BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute a Grant
Agreement and all documents relating thereto with the United States Department of Justice to
obtain a matching grant in the amount of $115,670 for the FY 1997 Local Law Enforcement
Block Grant Program to be used for purchasing equipment exclusively for the Police Department.
The City will provide matching funds in the amount of $12,852 for this project.
SECTION 2. The account number for this project is 001-0000-421-6900
(P00011).
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
