AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE A CONSIDERATION CERTIFICATE
CONTAINED IN THE DEED OF CONVEYANCE
FROM O T ALLEN AND WIFE, MARTHA SUE
ALLEN, FOR THE ACQUISITION OF REAL
PROPERTY LOCATED OFF OF U. S. HIGHWAY 60
AND FISHER ROAD, PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
WHEREAS, on December 21, 1993, the Board of Commissioners of

the City of Paducah, Kentucky, adopted Ordinance 934Z-5057 which ordinance
authorized the condemnation and acquisition for public purposes the real property of
O. T. Allen and wife, Martha Sue Allen, located off of U. S. Highway 60 and Fisher
Road, and consisting of approximately 22.0053 acres and further authorized the
corporate counsel of the City of Paducah to institute condemnation proceedings in
order to accomplish same; and
WHEREAS, a civil suit was commenced, Civil Action No. 94 -CI -00170,
and a judgment was entered by the McCracken Circuit Court granting to the City of
Paducah and County of McCracken the above -referenced real property and awarding
O. T. Allen and wife, Martha Sue Allen, as just compensation for said property the
sum of $675,000.000; and ;
WHEREAS, in order for record title to the above -referenced real
property to vest in the City of Paducah and County of McCracken, O. T. Allen and
wife, Martha Sue Allen, have executed and delivered a deed of conveyance dated
June 5, 1998; and
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah and County of McCracken are
hereby requested to execute the aforesaid deed of conveyance from O. T. Allen and
wife, Martha Sue Allen, certifying the consideration paid to the Allens for the real
property acquired under Civil Action No. 94 -CI -00170.
Be it ordained by the City of Paducah, Kentucky:
Section 1: The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute the
deed of conveyance dated June 5, 1998, by and between O. T. Allen and wife Martha
Sue Allen, as grantors, and the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and County of
McCracken, Kentucky, as grantees, and by so executing, the Mayor will be certifying
the consideration paid for the real property acquired under Civil Action No. 94 -CI -
00170, which amount was $675,000.00.
Section 2: This ordinance shall be read on two separate dates and
will become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Ch. 424.
