AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF KENNETH HOWLE IN THE
AMOUNT OF $1,700.00 FOR DEMOLITION OF A CONDEMNED STRUCTURE LOCATED IN
THE CITY OF PADUCAH, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR
SAME
WHEREAS, pursuant to KRS 61.252, the City of Paducah has received disclosures and
adopted findings of fact with respect to the entry of an agreement with Kenneth Howie, a city employee, for
the demolition of certain properties located within the City of Paducah; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to receive Howie's bid and enter into such agreement.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accepts the bid of Kenneth Howie in the amount
of $1,700.00 for demolition of the following condemned structure located in the City of Paducah, said
individual bids being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications, and as contained in the bids of
Kenneth Howie of July 15, 1998:
1143 North 14th Street $1,700
SECTION 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute contracts with Kenneth
Howie for services as set out in Section 1 above, according to the specifications and all contract
documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to account no. 001-0803-516-2313.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become effective
upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
