AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF BRI, INC. FOR THE
PURCHASE OF A VERTICAL TURBINE PUMP FOR THE ISLAND CREEK FLOOD
CONTROL PUMP STATION NO. 11, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT FOR SAME
C', BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The City of Paducah accepts the bid of BRI, Inc., for the purchase
of a vertical turbine pump in the amount of $80,088.00 for the Island Creek Flood Control Pump
Station No. 11, said bid being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications, advertisement
for bids, and as contained in the bid of BRI, Inc., dated November 13, 1997.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with BRI,
Inc. for the purchase of a vertical turbine pump, according to the specifications, bid proposal and
all contract documents heretofore approved.

SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to account no. 040-3305-532-
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
