AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE PROPOSAL OF WILLIAMS,
WILLIAMS & LENTZ, LLP, CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANTS, TO AUDIT
THE FINANCIALS OF THE PADUCAH POWER SYSTEM, AND AUTHORIZING AND
DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accepts the
proposal of Williams, Williams & Lentz, LLP, Certified Public
Accountants, to audit the financials of the Paducah Power
System, for the sum of $27,100, for fiscal years ending June
30, 1998, June 30, 1999, and June 30, 2000; said proposal being
according to the terms and conditions set forth in the proposal
of Williams Williams & Lentz, LLP, dated January 26, 1998.
SECTION 2. This proposal includes a comprehensive
annual review of all internal control procedures for Fiscal
Year ending June 30, 1998, for the sum of $3,500. The total
sum for all services to be performed as set out in Sections 1
and 2 herein shall be $30,600.00.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute
said contract as set out in Section 1 above.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be paid by Paducah
Power System.
SECTION 4. In order to begin auditing procedures by
January 28, 1998, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and
this ordinance shall become effective immediately upon adoption
with one reading.
