AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 WITH MURTCO, INC. FOR THE LITTLEVILLE
WATER AND SEWER EXTENSION PROJECT, AND GRANTING A 21 -DAY EXTENSION
OF TIME ON SAID CONTRACT
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 97-11-5766, the City approved a contract in the
amount of $52,210.00 with Murtco, Inc., for the Littleville Water and Sanitary Sewer Extension;
and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 in an amount not to exceed $25,000.00 is
required for installation of the storm sewer network within the intersection of Bloom Avenue and
State Street, which will increase the contract amount to $77,210.00, and will require an additional
21 -day extension of time to said contract.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute Change
Order No. 1 in an amount not to exceed $25,000.00 for installation of the storm sewer network
within the intersection of Bloom Avenue and State Street, which will increase the contract
amount to $77,210.00 with Murtco, Inc. , and will require an additional 21 -day extension of time
to said contract.
SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to Account No. 001-1204-513-
2307 (ED0008).
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and shall become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
