AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE KENTUCKY TRANSPORTATION CABINET AND THE CITY OF
PADUCAH FOR TRAFFIC SIGNAL INSTALLATION
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute an Agreement
in the amount of $16,109.80 between the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and the City of
Paducah for installation of a traffic signal at U.S. 60X - Downtown I-24 Loop at Bethel Street.
SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charge to Account No. 001-2204-531-3917.
SECTION 3. Due to the opening of the John Puryear Highway, the volume of traffic has
increased, which creates a safety hazard for fire trucks entering the thoroughfare in this area, and
an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall become effective immediately
with one reading.
