ORDINANCE NO. 98-3- S?Z I
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF SEVEN 1988
FORD CROWN VICTORIA AUTOMOBILES FROM HILLTOP FORD INC. IN THE
AMOUNT OF $20,319 EACH, FOR A TOTAL OF $142,233, FOR USE BY THE
POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT FOR SAME
WHEREAS, this equipment is available under State
Contract No. BP008526, and competitive bidding is not required.
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah is authorized to
purchase seven 1998 Ford Crown Victoria automobiles in the
amount of $20,319 each, for a total of $142,233, from Hilltop
Ford Inc., for use by the Police Department.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is authorized to execute a
contract with Hilltop Ford Inc. for the purchase of seven
vehicles, authorized in Section 1 above, according to the
specifications and all contract documents heretofore approved.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to
Account No. 070-2215-541-4005.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two
separate days and will become effective upon summary publi-
cation pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
