ORDINANCE NO. 98-3-
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF ONE 1998 JEEP
CHEROKEE•UTILITY VEHICLE FROM H.A. JONES INC. IN AN AMOUNT NOT
TO EXCEED $20,493.43, FOR USE BY THE POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME
WHEREAS, this equipment is available under State
Contract No. BP008501, and competitive bidding is not required.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah is authorized to
purchase one 1998 Jeep Cherokee utility vehicle in an amount
not to exceed $20,493.43 from H.A. Jones Inc., for use by
the Police Department
SECTION 2. The Mayor is authorized to execute a
contract with H.A. Jones Inc. for purchase of the vehicle
authorized in Section 1 above, according to the specifications
and all contract documents heretofore approved.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to the
following account: 013-1611-521-4005.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two
separate days and will become effective upon summary
publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
