AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF WAHL' S EXCAVATING &
UNDERGROUND, INC., IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,302,661.50 FOR THE MORGAN-
CORNELL ROADWAY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accepts the bid of Wahl's Excavating &
Underground, Inc. in the amount of $1,302,661.50 for the Morgan -Cornell Roadway
Improvement Project, said bid being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications, and as
contained in the bid of Wahl's Excavating & Underground, Inc., dated April 21, 1998.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor be authorized to execute a contract with Wahl's
Excavating & Underground, Inc., for the Morgan -Cornell Roadway Improvement Project,
authorized in Section 1 above, according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract
documents heretofore approved and incorporated I the bid.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to Account No. 040-3305-532-
2307 DR0001.
SECTION 4. In order to complete the project during this construction season an
1 emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall become effective immediately with
one reading.
