ORDINANCE NO. 98-6- 6-'? 7 R
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE CONTRACT AMENDMENT NO. 2 WITH FLORENCE & HUTCHESON, INC.,
FOR MORGAN CORNELL DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT - PHASE H
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 97-9-5726, the City executed a contract with
Florence & Hutcheson, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $63,750.00 for professional engineering
services for the Morgan Cornell Drainage Improvement Project - Phase II; and
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 98-2-5819, the City executed an amended contract
with Florence & Hutcheson, in the amount of $19,910.00 for additional engineering services, for a
total amount of contract to be $83,660.00; and
WHEREAS, it is now necessary to amend this contract for additonal engineering
services which will consist of resident inspection of construction to observe the contractor's
adherence to the construction documents for said project.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute
Contract Amendment No. 2 with Florence & Hutcheson, Inc., in the amount of $40,000.00 for
additional engineering services for the Morgan Cornell Drainage Improvement Project - Phase II,
thereby increasing the contract amount to $123,660.00.
SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to Account No. 040-3305-532-
C 1
2307 (DR0001).
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
